It was decent. The fact that the protagonist was small and fat didn’t bother me that much later on; I kind of got used to it.

I agree with others; the ending was kinda crap.

Underrated anime! Maybe that’s because I just love the survival game genre so much.

I grew up watching the live-action, so seeing the animation and how it does things differently was interesting. It was just as feels as the live-action!

The first season was funny and enjoyable!

The second season was extremely sad. Near the end, it was just sad after sad after sad. Every consecutive episode I was holding back tears!

Great anime, would recommend to people who have watched Death Note.

Not much to say; it’s only 4 episodes. It was decent.

Unpopular opinion time… I didn’t like Cowboy Bebop that much. There was a disconnect between the characters, and I didn’t really care that much for them. It wasn’t working for me. Plus, I’m generally not that big on noir.

A satisfying ending to the Hope’s Peak arc! There wasn’t much else they could’ve done, really.

I loved the concept of the bracelets, where if you satisfied some condition it’ll kill you, and nobody else knows your condition! That was so cool! Also, I loved how Danganronpa 2’s cast came in at the end and saved everyone. People thought the mind control thing was bad, but I liked it; they executed it well, and it was literally a part of Mitarai’s talent.

I love how slice-of-lifey this arc is! It’s exactly what I’d love from Danganronpa; just a whole season of the cast just doing their normal school life with each other. Of course, there were also the serious bits. The first mutual killing game was the most shocking event in all of Danganronpa for me; it was just so brutal!

It was hype when I watched it, but eventually I couldn’t wait long enough for the next episode to come out, so I just played the visual novel. Then I realised that the anime wasn’t that great in comparison! The pacing is off, but as a recap, it’s decent. It was also interesting to compare the anime and the game side-by-side.

I grew up watching this series, so I have very fond memories of it as a child. Surprisingly, Doraemon is really feels, for a kids show. It’s such a shame you can’t find all the episodes online!

Yeah yeah, FBI open up, I actually like this show. For only 12 episodes, it was quite entertaining. Episode 11 really caught me off-guard with the Oreimo cameo! There were times where it was really funny, especially episode 12 (the fanservice episode ;D), which was the best episode for me. The OVAs were alright, too. All in all, a cute anime and definitely fitted the bill of an anime you casually watched now and then.

Decent film

Pretty good. Episode 1 was really gripping and dark, then it got a bit calm and even a little boring, until episode 7, which was again, really gripping and dark, then again it got calm and boring until episodes 11 and 12 which executed the ending pretty well. Overall, I’d suggest this as one of those anime you casually watch and go into without any expectations instead of starting this thinking it’s going to be the best thing ever.

I liked the mystery behind this! It’s a bit gory, but it wasn’t too weird like Elfen Lied; it pulled it off well. It’s confusing at first, but then it makes sense. I loved the fan-service seasons at the end!

I can understand the hate this show gets; the animation does seem a bit lazy at times, but it was still very entertaining to watch. I love Garou’s concept and character! If the animation and art was like the first season, I might’ve given this a 9.

This part was great! You can really see the passion David Productions poured into this one, especially with the finale. Part 5 seems like the most romanticised JoJo part for me, which I quite liked. The stands were pretty good in general; not too complex, with a few exceptions. The 7 page muda was amazing, and the finale felt like it really did Golden Wind justice. Every episode had me wishing to see the next.

Pretty cute! I loved the animation. It reminded me of Ghibli and Mary and the Witch’s Flower. It felt like a pilot episode, which makes sense.

Pretty good, some strong Kill-la-Kill vibes (naturally, since it’s Trigger). As usual, the animation was amazing, but it felt like one long episode. Still, it was entertaining to watch.

People give these OVAs way too much hate; they were really funny!

Not bad! The ending definitely felt Studio Trigger-y, and very similar to Kill la Kill’s ending. The first half felt like a slice of life, whereas the second half had a lot more plot. I did like that structure, but I kind of wished the character development was distributed better. I felt that Jasminka didn’t get a lot of development, even though she was one of the witches in the main group.

Cool show! Definitely keeps you on your toes in places. The Revival thing was cool, but not applied as much as I thought it would. Then again, the show’s focus was different. The show has a habit of throwing something really sweet at you, and then spooking you with something suspenseful and intense, and then balancing it with wholesome stuff and so on, in a cycle. I don’t think it’s a bad thing; I just felt like whenever something good happened, I thought “oh no, something bad is gonna happen”!

Surprisingly good! I expected it to be a little crap and rushed, but I was shocked by how good it was. The humour is good, it covers the story of the games well and even touches on some points that the games didn’t cover (such as the theme of justice in the steel samurai case). I also really liked that extra story when Phoenix, Edgeworth and Larry were kids; it really added depth to their friendship.

Like the first season, this was also way better than I expected! The anime-only case was pretty cool, and I liked how they brought the in-game music at the end (I feel they should’ve done that a bit more but ah well). Of course, they couldn’t properly adapt it all to the same level of depth as the game, because it’s only a season long, and a lot of details seem glossed over, but I really liked what they did do.

Hoo boi that was epic. The highlight for me was when Eren directly attacked Marley and stole the Warhammer Titan. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time in those two episodes!

Solid anime! It’s not the type you get hooked on, but the story is good, characters are interesting, and I like the creative ways alchemy is used throughout the show.

A cute little show! I don’t normally watch slice of life anime like this nowadays, but I’d say this one is quite unconventional, and tackles some real life problems in Japan. Some parts were pretty wholesome, and some parts got really intense, like when one of Sayu’s ‘clients’ almost raped her. The ending was pretty satisfying: it was a good conclusion to the series, and not a dumb open-ended ending like a lot of other anime has.

It mostly felt like a really long drawn-out epilogue episode. The fanservice at the beginning was cool, and it was nice to see all the characters again, but the story didn’t jump out to me as particularly engaging or interesting. I suppose the idea that deja vu is the same as reading steiner was cool. It’s not a bad film, but I would’ve liked it more had I enjoyed the original series more.

Got the first volume of GGO for Christmas, so I thought I’d watch the anime too. The first half was pretty good! I quite enjoyed it. I liked Gun Gale Online, I thought it was a nice change of pace from the usual hack-and-slash fantasy sword setting that SAO did in season 1. Sinon was an interesting character and I enjoyed seeing her character develop, I liked how Kirito was the only one using a light sword in GGO because he comes from sword games, I liked how Kirito and Sinon worked together to overcome Death Gun but also remained as soft rivals; I generally thought the first half was really cool.

Not bad! I thought the ordinal ranking system was a cool idea; it reminded me of the Hero Association from OPM. I wished the film put a bit more emphasis on that, but ah well. I also thought it was cool to explore AR as opposed to VR, and I liked the idea of an in-game player villain beating people up for real in the AR game. It’s SAO, so I kind of expected Eiji to actually murder people, but eh.

Quite good! Not as suspenseful as the Phantom Bullet arc, but the fantasy is a lot better. I liked the idea of spells being system commands of the virtual world. The whole Fluctlight thing was interesting too, how the AI was emulating how brains work instead of simple input + output. Onto War of Underworld next!

Watched after Alicization; slow start but ah well. There were some interesting bits, like when they brought Alice to real life, when she mailed herself to Kirito, AI human rights, and the set-up to that space-themed final arc. The first half of this was pretty boring, though.

A cute little hidden gem of an anime! The premise is silly and weird, but it delivers well on romance and comedy. It’s old, but I feel like that adds to the charm. I did wish Midori remembered everything from when she was a right hand, but ah well. All in all, a great show! Also rip Ayase she didn’t deserve this :'(

Pretty cool! I especially liked the bit at the docks; the animation was really good then. It’s one of my favourite bits in the manga too, so I’m glad they adapted that part well.

A really sweet and cute show; the first half was kinda meh, but it got really sweet in the second half. Only thing I didn’t like was how Gojo acted so pathetic a lot of the times. Having said that, the spiciness of episode 11 and the sweetness of episode 12 bumped this show from a 6 to a 7. However, if a second season came by, I’d probably give it a miss.

Almost every episode had me surprised at how wholesome or how funny it turned out to be, and some even caught me off guard, like the episode where Komi tended to a sick Tadano, or the school trip episode. I’ll definitely be watching a season 3 if/when that comes out.

Watched all the way up to, and including, the election arc (in case you read this in the future and there’s more Hunter x Hunter content). Pretty good! I liked the creativity of the characters and their abilities. I also liked the sense of adventure the series brought across.

It’s alright; story is overrated imo. Animation was good, music was good, characters were ok, premise was ok, but overall, I wasn’t very invested in it. I hear that this is the “boring” part of Chainsaw Man, and the bits after this get really good, so I may check it out again when season 2 comes around.

Fun show! I really enjoyed it. At first, I was impatient because I wanted to see the Professor Layton and the Hidden Relics episodes, but I did start to appreciate the more slice-of-life episodic episodes as the series progressed. Speaking of which, I found that the best episodic episodes were from episode 40 onward, with my favourite being episode 40. The development that episode gave to Emiliana really was great, and it was super funny.

Good setup, characters, and music, but the story felt it lost its direction. The humour ranged from pretty good to falling completely flat, and at times feeling inappropriate. For a show called ‘Soul Eater’, there wasn’t much soul eating. All in all, I would have liked it better had I watched it when I was 13.

Great anime! I love how psychotic everyone is, and the way that Isagi grows each game.

Pretty cool, first half shows some interesting insight into Nagi and Reo’s history, but yea second half is basically a recap.

This is season 2 of Blue Lock. Very cool! Not as great as the first season but still very enjoyable. The animation didn’t bother me too much: it was more “minimalist” than “lazy”. It seems they were really just saving up all their budget for the final episode :P Lastly, 2ND HARF

Pretty good film! I prefer this film over the first one. Where the first film felt like a unique story that fit the format of a feature film, the second film felt like a really long episode. However, it had a lot more of what I like from Cardcaptor Sakura: a solid slice-of-life plotline with an action-packed magical plotline that intertwine, solid comedy parts, great character interaction, and plenty of sensitive heart-touching moments.

Like Lucky Star and other slice of life anime with only female characters, I just wasn’t feeling it.
